Caren Stewart

Background

Caren Stewart earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Pratt Instittute in 1996 and went on to complete a Masters in Education from the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1999. She enjoys the challenge of turning inspiration into reality by finding the right vehicle for expression. In addition to painting, Caren creates fabric sculptures, jewelry, papier mache and ceramics. "My subject matter tends to be organic in nature. I am fascinated with the process of creating life both on earth and also in space. Many of my paintings are reminiscent of planets, nebulas and stardust."
